Shawn Huey brings more than 40 years of experience in the energy industry to UGIES. He began his natural gas career in 1981 with Cabot, the largest independent oil and natural gas producer in Northwestern Pennsylvania. With the advent of deregulation in 1984, as the regional manager of Industrial Gas Supply (Cabot’s marketing affiliate), he was an early mover transitioning customers on the National Fuel Gas system to third-party gas supply.
Two decades later, working for Duke Energy, his efforts broadened to include supplying electricity and a host of strategic procurement and energy management services to clients nationwide. He is nationally experienced but, as a 30-year resident, regionally focused on Western Pennsylvania.
